What We Do

Our Services

If this is a medical emergency, call 911 now.

Emergency Response

9-1-1 Emergency Ambulance Service

When you dial 9-1-1 in our service areas, Mercy crews are dispatched through the county 9-1-1 system to respond to medical emergencies. We provide two levels of emergency care in San Diego, Mariposa, and Tuolumne counties.

Paramedic-level care

Advanced Life Support (ALS)

Advanced Life Support is paramedic-level emergency care delivered on scene and en route to the hospital. Paramedics can perform advanced interventions — such as administering medications, advanced airway management, and cardiac monitoring — that go beyond basic first aid.

ALS units are dispatched through the county 9-1-1 system. There is nothing to request here: if you have a medical emergency, call 911 and the dispatcher will send the appropriate response.

You cannot request an ambulance through this website. Always call 911 for an emergency.

EMT-level care

Basic Life Support (BLS)

Basic Life Support is EMT-level care and medically supervised transport for patients whose condition does not require paramedic-level interventions. BLS crews are trained in essential emergency care, monitoring, and safe patient handling throughout the trip.

Like our ALS units, BLS ambulances respond through the county 9-1-1 system in San Diego, Mariposa, and Tuolumne counties.

Higher Level of Care

Critical Care Transport (CCT)Mariposa & Tuolumne Counties

Critical Care Transport is for facility-to-facility transfers where a patient needs a higher level of monitoring and care en route than a standard ambulance provides. It bridges the gap between hospital-level care and traditional ambulance transport.

Mercy provides Critical Care Transport in Mariposa and Tuolumne counties. CCT is arranged by phone — call the Mariposa County line to coordinate a transfer.
